There’s a one-stop shopping opportunity for people in Timmins to sign their kids up for any of 18 fall and winter sports.
Sports for Kids Timmins is hosting Welcome to Sports Night, Monday between 5:00pm and 8:00pm at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex.
“We will have about 18 sports booths where children from Timmins can come with their parents and try multiple sports and do registration for fall and winter sports,” says Sports for Kids president Colleen Landers.
She adds that it’s more than just hockey.
“We have martial arts – several – cross country skiing, boxing, to name a few.”
The major focus of Sports for Kids is to help financially for families that can’t afford sports. It will also be there for parents to check out eligibility requirements.
