Timmins is getting $750, 000 for infrastructure upgrades. The funding is coming from the province. It will go into upgrading the blending chamber at the water filtration plant. Mayor Steve Black says this is very good news, for two reasons. It will get the city debt free a year faster, and save around $200,000 in interest payments.
