Special Olympics bowlers strike it big at national competition in Calgary

Special Olympics bowlers from Timmins might have a hard time getting through security at the Calgary Airport, on their way home from national competition. They’re hauling an impressive load of medals.

The five-person team won gold in their division, matched by Julie Plourde for singles in the female competition, and Ronnie Thomson on the male side.  Nich Adams scored a bronze medal.  The team is rounded out by bowlers Ashley Keizer and Claude Lagacé.
