Timmins Police Service take part in charity volleyball game

Timmins Police Officers squared off against Pinecrest School students and faculty for a good cause earlier this week.
The event was the idea of Constable Bill Martin’s son and saw officers play volleyball games against the school, with the price of admission being non-perishable food items in support of the Timmins Food Bank.
Officials say the young man’s sense of community helped get the project off the ground.
Lots of food was collected, with the service saying each game was a nail-biter.
Officials say the students proved to be a ‘much tougher match up’ than the teachers.
They’re thanking everyone involved, especially young Mason Martin for the initiative.
