An incident involving a gun on a branch of Nighthawk Lake last Thursday results in charges against a 47-year-old South Porcupine man.
Timmins Police say that early that evening on Goose Creek, a boat approached a duck hunting party of four men.
An argument led to a gun being fired and the duck hunters leaving for their own safety.
The suspect was located at his William Avenue home on Sunday afternoon, where officers found a firearm and ammunition they say was improperly stored and secured. They’ll be kept as exhibits in his court case.
Among 12 charges against the man are using a firearm while committing a criminal offence and three counts of uttering threats.
