Every day at noon for the duration of the COVID-19 emergency, a group led by Mayor George Pirie called the Timmins Health Table will issue an update.
No launching your boat at a public launch
If you’re planning on going fishing any time soon, you can’t put your boat into the Mattagami River at the boat launch near the bridge.
City clerk Steph Palmateer says the province has closed every boat launch in Ontario during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We seem to be getting some inquiries about that so unfortunately, we have to follow the provincial mandate and these will be remained closed until further notice,” says Palmateer.
Queen’s Park is also keeping parks and conservation areas closed until at least May 31st.
