Mayor wants young people to tell him what they’re thinking during the pandemic

Mayor George Pirie is offering youth in Timmins a way to express what they’re thinking during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He calls it “The Progeny Perspective” and is inviting young people to submit their material via email.

“I think it’s very important that we record the views as well as the feelings associated with the younger generation, as they work through this,” the mayor remarks. “They’ll be talking to their grandkis about it very similar to the way our grandparents talked to us about the outbreak of the Spanish flu.”

The submissions could be shared during his daily health table conference call.

You can find out how your progeny can participate on the city’s Facebook page.
