It’s okay to wear a mask, if you have to go to Timmins and District Hospital, to emergency or as an outpatient.
The reassurance comes from TADH communications specialist Kaileigh Russell.
“So an example of this could be either a disposable procedure mask or a lot of people in the community are wearing homemade masks,” she says. “You can wear you own mask to the hospital if you’re comfortable with that. We encourage everyone to follow the direction of the Porcupine Health Unit in relation to wearing masks in the community. They’ve provided a lot of really good messaging about that.”
Meanwhile, the hospital’s foundation is the designated first point of contact for anyone wanting to donate personal protective equipment or money to the COVID-19 fund.
