Daytime and night-time snow removal by the city teams will be taking place this week, from February 10th, 2020 to February 14th, 2020. Streets could be closed, lanes could be reduced. The best option is to find an alternate route to your destination. However, here are the roads that will be effected, and when city snow removal teams plan to clear them.
Daytime Snow Removal 7:30 Am to 4:00 PM
From February 10th, 2020 to February 14th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that:
Monday, February 10th, starting at 7:30 AM:
- Timmins South: Maple (Moneta to Sterling), Elm (Moneta to Sterling), Cedar (Moneta to Huron), Huron
- Porcupine: Bob’s Lake, Jarvi, Lamarche
Tuesday, February 11th, starting at 7:30 AM:
- Timmins North: Jade, Melrose (Jubilee to Dead end), George, Quartz, Polaris
- Porcupine: Gauthier, Conley, Duke (Gervais to Falcon)
Wednesday, February 12th, starting at 7:30 AM:
- Timmins North: Tamarack (Ross to Dead end), Spruce (Ross to Brousseau), Cedar (Ross to Brousseau), Hendry
- Porcupine: Boucher, Duke (Krznaric to Boucher), Krznaric, Earl (Krznaric to Dead End), Marquis, Ristimaki
Thursday, February 13th, starting at 7:30 AM:
- Mountjoy: Lillian, Lemieux, Leonard, MacDuff, Lemoyne, School
- Timmins North: Carlin, Lincoln, Crescent, Floral

Night Time Snow Removal 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM
From February 10th, 2020 to February 14th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that crews will be doing night time snow removal.
Monday, February 10th, starting at 9:30 PM:
- Timmins North: Theriault, College (Jubilee to Westmount)
- Timmins South: Cameron (Algonquin to Columbus)
Tuesday, February 11th, starting at 9:30 PM:
- Timmins North: Denise, Suzanne, River Park
Wednesday, February 12th, starting at 9:30 PM:
- Timmins South: Wilson, Commercial
The above plan or parts of the plan may also be changed at any time and/or delayed if a winter storm is in effect, or if there is a mechanical issue. The snow removal crew will change to a snow plowing operation. Those streets that may not be done will be done on the next available snow removal shift.
