Here’s a heads-up about a traffic complication expected for part of this weekend.
Timmins Police communications coordinator Marc Depatie says that on Sunday morning starting at five o’clock, there will be intermittent closures to the Schumacher Highway, between Highway 655 and the east entrance to Father Costello Drive.
“At times, the roadway will be not accessible,” according to Depatie, “however vehicles will be re-routed through Schumacher. The work is expected to conclude no later than 12 noon. However, it may be completed sooner. We’re hopeful.”
The interruptions are to allow for surveying work in that area.
“If you can avoid the area because of the congestion that should arise from this situation, then you’re doing yourself a favour,” comments Depatie. “Nonetheless, there will be intermittent interruptions in traffic in the area.”
