Police, Crime Stoppers looking for theft suspects

An 85-year-old woman has had her debit card and health card stolen and Timmins Police and Crime Stoppers have surveillance photos of two suspects – a man and a woman.

Crime Stoppers coordinator Brenda Beaven says last Thursday at about one o’clock in the afternoon, the woman bought something at Dollarama in Park Road Square.  One of the suspects told her she had dropped something, and as she bent over to retrieve it, the cards were removed from her wallet.

Beaven says the  bank card was then used at an ATM and to buy prepaid Visa cards at the pharmacy in South Porcupine… then at the Porcupine Mall to buy prepaid Mastercards.

“One of those businesses has CCTV images of those two individuals,” Beaven says.  “You can kind of see who they are.”

If you can help identify the pair, you’re asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
