A fatal crash has taken the life of a Timmins resident.
Sunday afternoon the Timmins Police Service were called out to an ATV crash along a trail system located just off of Pine Street South in a remote area of Deloro Township.
TPS were originally called to assist an injured driver but when they arrived they found he had suffered a significant head injury.
53-year-old John Lloy of Timmins has been since identified by TPS as the driver of the ATV who passed away.
After completing their preliminary investigation Timmins Police are classifying the death as an accident, though they have identified the fact that the driver was not using a helmet which contributed to his injury.
Arrangements for a post-mortem examination have yet to be confirmed as of this time.
