A 27-year-old Timmins man is facing a slew of charges, including arson, after a police investigation Tuesday evening.
Officials say the accused entered an abandoned residence in the south end of the city and started a fire whcih eventually got out of control and fled the scene. Timmins Fire Department then attended to fight the fire. Police say they located the man after he was causing a disturbance at a local business. Along with arson, he was also charged with resisting arrest and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
