If it feels like traffic is moving a little better downtown Friday morning, it probably is.
As of 6:00pm Thursday, the lights on Second Ave. at Cedar St. and Pine St. will be flashing red full-time, making them four-way stops on the major detour for connecting link reconstruction.
BIA executive director Cory Robin says another move has been made to improve traffic flow: “No Left Turn” signs are gone.
“For the rest of the summer, you are able to turn left guilt-free in Downtown Timmins,” he remarks.
Both measures are in effect until construction wraps up late this fall.
