A Cochrane man was arrested by Ontario Provincial Police following a stabbing in Smooth Rock Falls on Friday.
Police received a call about someone being assaulted with a knife on third avenue in Smooth Rock Falls around 12:30 am. The victim received serious injuries and transported to hospital, and the suspect fled the scene.
Early Saturday afternoon Police found the suspect after executing a search warrant on Maple avenue.
A 38 year old Cochrane man is charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats causing bodily harm, assault, fail to comply with probation order and possession of a prohibited device or ammunition.
