Vista Radio wins 2019 Nova Award

The largest business awards event in Northern Ontario attracted 700 people to the McIntyre Arena last night, for the 17th annual Timmins Chamber of Commerce Nova Awards.

Vista Radio – you know us better as 93.1 Moose FM and My Timmins Now Dot Com – came away with the business of the year award, six to ten employees.

Our regional manager, Scott Armstrong, says Vista picked up the award because we focus on one thing: Timmins.

“With our programming.  With our news coverage. With our sales department,” he said. “It’s all about focusing all of our efforts on Timmins and I think when you do that, when you focus on one thing, you can win.”

Armstrong paid tribute to his small but vital team.

“We’ve all had those times in our lives when we’ve been part of a great team and I’m lucky to be living that right now, and I have a wonderful group of people who make me look good and certainly make our company look great.”
