Timmins Students Finish New Album in Four Days

Timmins high schools students finished a full album in four days.

Sonic Democracy students at Timmins High and Vocational School spent four days in Toronto recording five songs for their new concept album called Crossroads and Dreamlands.  Teacher Barry Promane says this album focuses on the five stages of grief. Promane says this concept came to light after the students talked about making something that everyone could relate to. He says everyone has either experienced or seen grief through someone else so it could relate to a wide audience. Promane says writing this album was a great teaching and learning experience.

He Promane says it was extremely difficult recording and finishing an entire album in four days. He says the students knew they had a limited amount of time at Coalition Music on Toronto and made it happen.

Promane says the album should be ready for sale at the bands first show on June 8th at Timmins High.
