Social media is great for communication, but not for reporting tips according to the Cochrane District Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers is reminding you of the ways to properly submit your crime tips. Coordinator Michelle Simard says the organization promises to keep your information anonymous and posting tips on Facebook or other social media sites identifies you.
Simard says the proper way for you to submit tips anonymously is to call 1-800-222-TIPS or go online at tipsubmit.com.
