Northern OPP detachments are warning both transport drivers and the everyday commuter to share the road and prevent crashes. Police say aside from the thousands of transport trucks that travel Highway 11 every day there are also over 1,000 snowplows, salt trucks and sanders can be out clearing roads.
The OPP is warning all drivers that conditions, especially in the north, can quickly turn ugly. Police say passing transports and snow removal vehicles is always risky and to drive according to conditions at all times.
