A 19-year-old from Timmins is facing a number of charges after a hit and run. It happened at the beginning of the month at Pine and Kirby. A 31-year-old woman was crossing the street, when she was hit by a car. The teen took off, but Timmins Police tracked him down not long after. He is now looking at five charges, including failing to stop at the scene of an accident and careless driving. He is also being charged with no clear view to front, due to an icy windshield.

Police are reminding drivers to be extra cautious in winter weather, and to make sure all windows are fully cleared of ice and snow before driving,
