News High speed chase through Timmins ends in charges SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Tuesday, Feb. 9th, 2016 A 26-year-old from Timmins is facing numerous charges after leading police on a high speed chase through town. It all started on Saturday afternoon at Lafleur and Norman. Officers wanted to speak with the man about a previous incident. They tried to pull him over, but he drove off, travelling at high speeds across town, ignoring stop signs and lights. Police made several attempts to stop him, but to no avail. He was found a short time after the chase at a local home. He is now looking at three charges, including breaking probation and flight while pursued by an officer. He was held in custody for a bail hearing this week.
