The Kapuskasing Economic Development Corporation says it’s on pace with its plans to create a secure medical marijuana facility located at the Kapuskasing airport. From the EDC, Andre Robichaud says the Demonstration Farm is an example of how beneficial the research field can be in the Northeast. He says the facility would mean jobs for residents, not just in research but also in administration. He says there will more than 60 well paying jobs, injecting up to $3 million into the community, which doesn’t include other economic spin-off opportunities.

There are currently 60 cows, over 300 sheep and two-dozen pigs at the Demonstration Farm and Robichaud says things are on pace for the EDC’s planned expansions.
