March is national Engineering Month.
Tristan Fletcher, a Structural Engineer in training with JL Richards says it’s a chance to get the word out about engineering and what can be done within the profession.
It’s also an opportunity to get young students interested in engineering.
Fletcher says they’ve set up a popsicle stick bridge competition. Students at Gauthier school will design and build a bridge following a presentation that shows the kids what engineering is all about.
Fletcher says there’s about 500 events going on nationally throughout the month.
