OPP in the northeast are rolling out a blitz for its Fall Seatbelt Campaign. Police say in the week of September 7th alone there were seven people killed in the Northeast in collisions, six of which were not wearing a seatbelt. Police say the fine for not wearing a seatbelt is $240 and two demerit points.

The OPP reports 42 people have been killed this year not wearing a seat belt. Police say you can expect them out in full force doing seat belt and regular spot checks this week.
