The winter access road that connects the Moose Factory to Highway 11 via Smooth Rock Falls is now open for the season but with daytime closures.
Moose Cree First Nation officials report via its Facebook page that Wetum road is closed from 8 am to 7 pm daily due to the forecasted mild temperatures. Â The officials add that the closures are necessary to keep the surface in the best condition possible and to consult the website for the exact days and times.
You are also asked to use all check points when traveling. Wetum Road can be accessed by taking Highway 634 in Smooth Rock Falls and then up to Otter Rapids Road.
