The details are few and the investigation is ongoing, but the Timmins Police Service says one man is in custody after officers responded to “an incident” that occurred at a Sixth Avenue home on yesterday morning (Monday).
The service says the Emergency Response Team was deployed to “take control of the scene”, with the accused being taken into custody without incident around 11.
Officials say the Forensic Identification Unit and the Criminal Investigations Unit are now working on the investigation.
