The lack of snow this winter has started to put a damper on outdoor related events in our region. Officials from the Timmins Mechanical Solutions Pro SnowCross that was set for next weekend is being moved to March 9th and 10th.
In a Facebook post, officials say there is very little snow in the north as well as in central Ontario. They add there is a significant cost associated with making snow and the weather conditions must be ideal.
The organization is working with the City of Timmins to monitor the venue.
Tickets sold for the event will be honoured in March.
