Drivers along Riverside Dr. Wednesday evening were getting a light show from across the Mattagami River. Fire destroyed the Verville Enterprises mill that produced industrial lumber products at 449 Feldman Rd.
Deputy fire chief Berny Stansa says the mill building burned to the ground, along with some utility buildings on the property. A loader and a number of trailers were also damaged or destroyed.
At the height of the incident, 35 firefighters were battling the flames.
