Two Special Olympian power-lifters from Timmins have brought home medals following the World Games in Los Angeles. Andre Goulet won golds in the deadlift and squat plus a silver in the bench press. His friend Paul Perrault won silver in the deadlift and took the bronze medal in the bench press. Both men competed in the same 83-kilogram weight class.
