The spring bear hunt and the sale of Hydro One were on the agenda for a recent FONOM meeting. Kapuskasing hosted the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities in July for their conference. They also talked about how to invest over 11-billion dollars. That funding is part of the Moving Ontario Forward plan, and is money for places outside of the GTHA.
“It is important that our voices are heard in the development and design of programs that will assist Northern municipalities repair and construct local infrastructure,” says FONOM President and Kapuskasing Mayor, Al Spacek.
