For the first time since 2019, the Timmins Construction Association has its Home and Garden Show this weekend at the McIntyre Curling Club. It runs from tonight from 5:00pm until 9:00pm; tomorrow 10:00am to 6:00pm; and Sunday, 10:00am to 3:00pm.
TCA board member Ashley Richards-Gagnon thinks it’s a good thing that next door in the arena tonight is the sold-out game 7 of the junior hockey series between Timmins and Hearst.
“I think it’s going to boost attendance,” she confidently predicts, “because everyone’s going to come out and support the Timmins Rock, and also support us at the Home and Cottage Show.”
The show features everything you need for home or cottage, from construction projects to decorations.
Richards-Gagnon says the beautiful weather we’re expecting should mean a lot of people paying their five bucks to get in.
“It makes people want to come out and shop more when it’s nicer weather, which you know, and the cottage season is going to be opening up soon.”
Moose 93.1 will be at the Home and Cottage Show all weekend.
