Credit union robbers nabbed: TPS

Two arrests have been made in connection with robberies at two credit unions in Timmins.

The first is the one we told you about earlier this week, last Friday at the credit union on Mountjoy Street North.  The other was Monday at the one on Cedar Street South, across from the Timmins Fire Department.

A 42-year-old woman is charged by Timmins Police for both robberies, as well as two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

Investigators say a 59-year-old man – also of Timmins – was the driver of the getaway car in both instances. He’s also charged with two counts of robbery.

Surveillance photos from the Mountjoy Street incident did result in information for investigators.
