Timmins Police are hearing of some people being reluctantly vaccinated against COVID-19 behaving in a way verging on criminal.
One example used by communications coordinator Marc Depatie is a person who told the worker administering the jab that if he experiences any ill effects, he’ll come after them.
“This is a topic that certainly has a polarizing effect and people are entitled to express their opinion,” Depatie acknowledges, “but not to the extent that it comes across as a threat to someone’s personal safety.
“That’s inappropriate and contrary to the Criminal Code. You cannot utter a threat to that person.”
Depatie says any reported incidents will be treated accordingly.
