News No random stops planned by TPS SHARE ON: Bob McIntyre, staff Saturday, Apr. 17th, 2021 (Bob McIntyre, MyTimminsNow.com staff) Timmins Police say there will be “absolutely no random stops” of cars to determine whether the driver or passengers are violating the provincial stay-at-home order. In step with the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, TPS says it will, however, exercise a firmer enforcement of the lockdown rules. Communications coordinator Marc Depatie says officers will act appropriately and professionally. They will act when there are reasonable grounds to believe that a violation is taking place or is about to take place.
