Timmins Police say there will be “absolutely no random stops” of cars to determine whether the driver or passengers are violating the provincial stay-at-home order.
In step with the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, TPS says it will, however, exercise a firmer enforcement of the lockdown rules.
Communications coordinator Marc Depatie says officers will act appropriately and professionally. They will act when there are reasonable grounds to believe that a violation is taking place or is about to take place.
