Online workshop deals with composting

You know there are good uses for those potato peels and other food scraps you throw away every day.   Next Tuesday night on Zoom, the South Porcupine branch of the Timmins Public Library has an event that deals with that topic.

“We called it Demystifying Composting,” branch head Louise Gaudette tells My Timmins Now Dot Com.  The online workshop will address a lot of misconceptions about composting.

“So an expert back yard composter will teach us about composting, so how to start and choose best locations, what can go in the bin and how to maintain it,” Gaudette adds. “We’ll also have a City of Timmins environmental services representative who will join us to talk about the possibility of our municipality doing a composting program.”

Details on how to get involved are on the Timmins Public Library website.
