What looked like an abduction at the Canadian Tire gas bar on Waterloo Road Saturday morning really wasn’t. It did, however, get what police call “undeserved traction” on social media.
At least one account on Facebook says that while they waited for Goodlife to open, several members saw a man arguing with a woman and eventually getting her into his vehicle.
One of the gym members followed the car while police were called.
City police say, however, that they located the car and the two people, interviewed them separately and determined no abduction had occurred.
