The NOJHL has announced the name, logo, and colours for the Timmins team. The Timmins Rock will take over the Mac next season, wearing maroon, gold, and white.
President of the Rock, Scott Marshall, also announced an NHL addition. Steve Sullivan, who played for six NHL teams including Toronto and Pittsburgh, will be joining the board.
“He’s going to be a senior advisor to the hockey team,” says Marshall. “He’s really excited that the team’s returning to Timmins, of course this is where he got his start.”
Sullivan is currently the player development coach for the Coyotes. The Timmins Rock logo represents mining, with a shield, a pick, and hockey glove. Season tickets are now for sale at Timmins Rock
