Flooding danger has passed along Mattagami

Just in time for the long weekend, the Timmins Flood Advisory Committee has given the all-clear.  It appears any risk of flooding along the Mattagami watershed has passed.  The level of water is gradually receding to what’s considered normal.

The committee has lifted the watershed condition statement issued on April 27th..

It says water levels are gradually declining to normal.  It cautions you, though, to stay away from watercourses where flows are high and banks could be unstable.
