The ONTC is the only regional transportation in the North, and thousands depend on it. That’s what Temiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof has to say over the news of two stations closing. Vanthof slammed the Liberals over the move, saying they had promised a long term plan for Ontario Northland. But, he says, all the North is seeing is death by a thousand cuts. It was announced yesterday Englehart and Matheson are losing their stations, while others will take service cuts.
