Winter survival training for the armed forces

Three different divisions of the Canadian armed forces were sent into the forest for winter survival training. Cadets, Army Reservists, and Canadian Rangers were all a part of the course. Around 100 members, including some from Timmins, were in Cobalt to learn survival skills. They were taught how to build a fire in the snow, ice water rescue, and how to build a shelter. The training exercise happened in Cobalt.
