News Save money on groceries SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Thursday, Jan. 29th, 2015 The price of eating well is constantly on the rise, prompting the Timmins Anti-Hunger Coalition to help out. In partnership with the Porcupine Health Unit, there is going to be a couponing workshop happening tonight, to teach shoppers how to save money. Victoria Hall, a dietician from the Health Unit, says the cost of food in our area is above the provincial average. She says a family of four spends $208.73 on groceries per week. The provincial average is $195.40, which is $13.33 more. The couponing event is happening tonight at the Health Unit. Tickets are 10-dollars, or you can donate any amount of money you feel is reasonable.
