Finalists have been announced, and now the anticipation leading up to the Nova Awards 2019 gala.
It’s set for May 9th at the McIntyre Arena, the only venue big enough to hold the Timmins Chamber of Commerce annual business awards dinner and presentations.
Business services manager Carmen Swartz says the theme this year is “Nova-opoly”… borrowing from the Monopoly board game. She says there’s a different theme every year.
“We use the theme in order to decorate the venue and select what the food’s going to be and what the feel of the event’s going to be,” Swartz outlines, “so whether you’ve come once or ten times, it’s always something new that night.
“You’ll definitely see a lot of colours and a lot of Monopoly money and if you play the game, you’ll definitely find all those little pieces around the room for sure.
