City workers are on the scene of a water main on Pine Street North, right beside Covenant United Church. The street is closed between Eighth Avenue and Ninth Avenue.
The break was discovered at about 2:00am. Workers tell My Timmins Now Dot Com that they hope to have it repaired and the street open again by 4:00pm, “but it depends”. The first challenge they were facing was chipping through frost to get to the break.
As you approach the area from the north, you’ll encounter water and slush on the street. You’re advised to adjust your driving to those conditions.
