Social media posts coming out of Timmins today have been busy with displeasure over a partial withdrawal of transit service on Suzanne Street in Melrose.
Timmins Transit riders are dealing with no buses on that street between 7:00am and 9:00am, and 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
A city spokesperson says Transit will not operate on Suzanne during those hours because school buses are also in the area at that time. The narrower road caused by all the snowfall lately causes safety concerns.
Snow removal is expected to take place on Sunday or sooner. Then full service will resume.
In the meantime, normal service is operating on Denise Street and Lonergan Boulevard.
