News Patient transfers a topic of concern for NE LHIN SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Monday, Jan. 19th, 2015 Transporting non-urgent patients across the North East is a focus for the LHIN. The Local Health Integration Network has a permanent non-ambulance in the works for inter-hospital transfers. The three year project is trying to take some onus off of EMS. Some ways to do this are one central booking service, and dedicated routes. A group is working to plan the routes, the staff, and the vehicle.
