FedNor Minister on Long Gun Registry

The minister of FedNor says when it comes to the long gun registry, the NDP are insulting the way of life in Northern Ontario and rural areas.

Gred Rickford was commenting on the gun registry position by NDP leader Thomas Mulcair that the New Democrats would bring it back.

Shortly after Mulcair’s statement, his MP for Timmins James Bay, Charlie Angus, said the NDP would not bring back the gun registry.

Rickford gets why Angus would contradict his leader because he says the federal Conservatives did the right thing in abolishing the registry.

Rickford says regardless of what Angus claims, according to their own leader, the NDP would re-introduce the long-gun registry.
