Two weeks after a fire destroyed their building they have found some new space.
The Good Samaritan Inn Homeless Shelter finally was able to once again welcome residents through its doors this weekend.
When the shelter burned down it left 14 people out on the streets, those residents were then forced into housing at the Senator Hotel.
Since, a second location which was originally being refurbished to be a women and children’s homeless shelter, has now become the home for a few residents who are living in the common area while rooms are still being fixed up.
Until the rooms are ready to go and the building complete, they won’t be able to help any others displaced by the blaze.
During this time, donations have been collected from the community and will continue to be to fundraised for the shelter moving forward.
