Timmins Police have laid charges on a local woman for assault.
On Sunday afternoon TPS officers were called to a person in medical distress at an apartment located in the south end.
Officers arrived to find the female victim of the assault who they transported to TADH for medical treatment.
Following an investigation, police have arrested a 28-year-old Timmins woman on two charges including aggravated assault.

The victim is now in a Sudbury area hospital receiving treatment for her injuries.
The accused will await a bail hearing in Timmins Court.
