News Lyme Disease strategy motion SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Friday, Nov. 28th, 2014 Mike Mantha, MPP for Algoma Manitoulin, has presented a motion to make Ontario the first province to have a strategy on Lyme disease. Lyme disease is a tick born disease, which can be deadly if left untreated. Mantha says Lyme disease is a significant and growing health issue across the province. The motion calls for the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to develop a strategy, which already has the support of the Canadian and Ontario Lyme Disease Foundations.
