Workplace Safety North will celebrate its inaugural local convention by bringing in speakers to talk about relevant safety topics for every industry like mental health, safety culture and marijuana in the work place. Director of General Prevention Services Tom Welton says this conference aims to bring more information and strategies to people in all different industries. //www.mytimminsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/safety-conference-1.wav Welton says the company decided to bring this conference to Timmins because nothing like this has really come this far north. //www.mytimminsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/safety-conference-2.wav He says anyone in any industry is able to register for the one-day conference. The first annual event will take place on September 5th at the Senator Hotel and cost $85. Welton says they will also be hosting a free one-day Risk Assement Workshop on September 6th.
